Development-Life Skills

Alert Care Services Australia provides tailored care for individuals with developmental and life skills needs, offering personalized support to enhance independence and quality of life. Services may include assistance with daily activities, skill development, social integration, and access to community resources, promoting autonomy and well-being.

Development Life-Skills (NDIS):

Development Life-Skills support helps participants build the everyday skills they need to live more independently and confidently. This support focuses on teaching and improving practical abilities so participants can manage daily life, make informed choices, and actively participate in their community.

We work alongside each participant to develop skills at their own pace, based on their goals and needs.

Examples of support include:

  • Learning how to cook simple meals and plan groceries

  • Managing personal hygiene and daily routines

  • Budgeting, saving money, and paying bills

  • Using public transport safely and confidently

  • Building communication and social skills

  • Developing problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Organising time, appointments, and responsibilities

  • Gaining confidence to access community activities and services

This support is capacity-building, meaning the goal is to increase independence over time rather than provide ongoing assistance.
