Assist – Daily Tasks / Shared Living (NDIS):

Assist – Daily Tasks / Shared Living refers to supports that help participants live as independently as possible in a shared home environment. This includes assistance with everyday personal and household tasks that a person may not be able to complete safely or independently due to their disability.

These supports are delivered in a shared living setting—such as a group home or shared accommodation—where assistance is tailored to each participant’s needs while promoting choice, control, and skill development.

Examples of support include:

Personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming)

Meal planning, preparation, and assistance with eating

Household tasks (e.g. cleaning, laundry, maintaining a safe living space)

Medication prompts or supervision

Support with daily routines and time management

Overnight or 24/7 support where required
